The Swimming and Diving team competed in the NY State high school championships featuring the fastest competition in the entire state. The team sent 13 athletes, the most ever in the CHSAA. Despite a slow start at trials on Friday, the team finished 7th best in the state. The weekend was highlighted by Matt Krey winning the 200 Individual Medley in a school record time and becoming only the 2nd State Champion in team history. Sophomore diver Philip Truong placed second in the diving competition and Mike McVicker was 5th overall in the 100 Breaststroke. Other outstanding performances were put in by Mike Panzarino, 15th in the 500 Freestyle; Nick Turner and John Gallagher 17th and 28th in diving, respectively; Kyle Chow, 18th in the 100 Backstroke, Mike McVicker, 23rd in the Individual Medley; and Matt Krey, 10th in the 100 Freestyle. The relay team of Kyle Chow, Mike McVicker, Joe Buchheit and Aiden Kennon finished 18th.
