The swimming team took home their second consecutive New York State Federation Championship topping all public and private schools in the state. In the first event of the meet, the 200 medley relay team of Brian Hogan, Dale Wallace, Oliver Patrouch, and Declan Kennon placed third, setting a new team record in the process. From there the Rams continued to roll, with Brian Hogan placing 11th in the 200 Freestyle and 8th in the 500 Freestyle, and Joe Eiden finishing 16th and 4th in the same events. Additionally, Declan Kennon placed 10th in the 200 Individual Medley, Richard Mannix finished 15th in the 500 Freestyle, and Dale Wallace added an outstanding 4th place finish in the 100 Breaststroke.
Pat Conaton had an exceptional meet, finishing 3rd in the 100 Freestyle and 2nd in the 100 Backstroke, setting a new league record in the process. Other notable performances were put in by William Fierro Joyce placing 23rd in both the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke, and Sean Lyons 21st in the 500 freestyle. Matthew Lantin and Ian Bidwell each had strong swims as well.

The finest finishes of the day came in the 200 and 400 Freestyle Relays. The 200 relay of Pat Conaton, Dale Wallace, Declan Kennon, and Joe Eiden came from behind to win the event and set a new school record. In the 400 relay, the team of Pat Conaton, Brian Hogan, Declan Kennon, and Joe Eiden finished tied for first place in a new state record time of 3:06.99 breaking a 19 year old record state record.

Overall, the Rams scored 199 points, besting their nearest competitor by 75 points in what proved to be one of the largest margin of victory in state championship history. Two events qualified for Automatic All American status and 3 others for all American Consideration. Congratulations to the swimming and diving team on a truly unbelievable finish to an incredible season.
